I thought I had been long since forgotten by my former significant other, but what you said made sense to me as to why he is still running through my mind at times. It brought me an odd sense of both comfort and sadness to know that he still thinks of me - Comfort to know that I’m not alone in my thoughts of the past and sadness to know that the relationship feels impossible to recover.
